It's official, Chanel has decided to become a sponsor of the ANDAM, the French National Association for the Development of the Fashion Arts.

The association’s award is one of the most coveted in the world with 250,000 euros included as part of the grand prize. In 2014, it was given to the Dutch designer Iris van Herpen.

In addition, Chanel has put forth its president of fashion, Bruno Pavlovsky, to mentor the victor of the award over a two-year period.

For Chanel, it’s definitely a year of investment in young designers. The French label already made a very conspicuous move by becoming a principal sponsor of this year's Hyéres International Festival of Fashion and Photography Hyères, whose artistic director is Karl Lagerfeld, while also occupying the presidencies of the juries for both fashion and photography. Meanwhile, the Hyères will be celebrating its thirtieth anniversary from April 23-27.
