Charlotte Tilbury opens first permanent U.S. store in Los Angeles
British makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury has opened the first permanent United States store for her eponymous brand at famed Los Angeles shopping destination, the Grove.
Special features of the brand’s flagship North American store include ‘Charlotte’s Magic Skin Clinic’ -- a variety of ‘beauty zones’ themed after Tilbury’s wide variety of inspirations, including rock ‘n’ roll, old Hollywood, fashion and magic.
According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, the 1,666-square-foot space was designed to be what Tilbury called a "retail theater," decorated with Art Deco-style makeup stations, palm tree-shaped copper chandeliers, a burgundy velvet banquette and a ‘magic mirror’ that can virtually apply makeup to the viewers' reflection using artificial intelligence.
The permanent retail space follows a partnership between Charlotte Tilbury and Nordstrom to open the brand’s first-ever U.S. pop-up shop at the Grove in 2017.
The Grove flagship’s opening coincided with the launch of Hot Lips 2, Charlotte Tilbury’s new lipstick collection inspired by 11 celebrities including Amal Clooney, Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Aniston and Olivia Palermo.
