Tapestry’s US luxury fashion and leathergoods retailer Coach has opened an upsized store in Edinburgh’s £1 billion retail and entertainment destination St James Quarter.

Taking a new 3,140 sq ft space on level three of the shopping centre, the bigger store will feature a wider assortment of Coach merchandise for women and men, including bags, small leathergoods, footwear, watches, travel accessories, scarves and jewellery.

The new store is described as “warm and inviting”, with an environment that reflects the “sophisticated yet playful refinement of New York”.

Coach, which will sit in an area surrounded by other designer brands (including the recently-opened Boss store and sister Tapestry brand Kate Spade), expands the fashion offering at St James Quarter, which also includes Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Reiss, The Kooples and Russell & Bromley.

Chris Pyne, head of leasing, said: “The addition of Coach further cements St James Quarter’s position as the go-to retail, leisure and dining destination in Edinburgh, probably Scotland, and is an endorsement of the rapid growth in the brands who have made it their home since the opening in June 2021.

“We are hugely excited to see brands such as Coach backing St James Quarter by upsizing their store and bringing their full range offer to our customers. As we move into spring we look forward to further openings.”
