The North American edition of cosmetics and beauty trade show Cosmoprof has been postponed. Organiser Bologna Fiere and the US Professional Beauty Association (PBA) have announced that, following the Covid-19 pandemic’s spread and the emergency measures adopted by the US government, the North American edition of the cosmetics trade show, originally scheduled on June 30 to July 2, will instead will be held on September 20-22 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

“We have decided that rescheduling the show is necessary to ensure we are providing our partners and guests with the safest and most fulfilling experience,” stated Enrico Zannini, general manager of BolognaFiere Cosmoprof SpA, in a press release.

“We have a responsibility to protect our exhibitors’ investments while delivering a show that meets and exceeds our international guests’ expectations. International visitors must be welcomed in the best way possible. We assessed the current situation with our partner PBA, and postponing the [show’s] 2020 edition was the most appropriate decision,” added Zannini.

In 2019, Cosmoprof North America, the leading beauty industry trade show in the region, welcomed over 40,000 visitors and over 1,400 exhibitors from 43 countries.

Cosmoprof North America is part of the Cosmoprof network, a global cosmetics trade show platform staging events in Bologna, Hong Kong, Mumbai and Bangkok, attracting over 500,000 industry professionals and 10,000 exhibitors from around the world.
