Crocs teams up with MCM on limited-edition release
Crocs debuted on Tuesday its latest collaboration with German luxury fashion house MCM introducing a reimagined version of the Classic Clog in two distinct styles.
MCM is a luxury lifestyle goods and fashion house founded in 1976. For the limited-edition release, MCM was inspired by its signature belt-bag. One of the styles features a mini belt-bag that is interchangeable and can also be worn as a fashion accessory, along with the brand's notable hardware, including 24-carat gold plated Jibbitz charms.
Likewise, a second style was designed in a striking neon finish and features a playful bulldog motif in yellow and black. This style also includes hardware details resembling a dog collar.
“Through melding both our brands’ most celebrated aspects, Crocs’ Classic Clog design, and MCM’s iconic Visetos Monogram, product and hardware, we’ve introduced a unique must-have item in celebration of summer that will create excitement for our fans around the world,” said Dirk Schönberger, global brand officer MCM Worldwide.
Crocs has experienced explosive growth thanks to various collaborations with artists and luxury brands, as well as the pandemic, which put an emphasis on comfort. Earlier this year, it collaborated with Balenciaga and most recently, Grammy-winning singer Sza.
The styles are available exclusively at MCM boutiques and mcmworldwide.com, and retail from £270 to £315.
