Three Debenhams senior executives, including the retailer’s managing director of beauty and marketing, are reportedly leaving the business as part of a leadership shake-up.

Richard Cristofoli, MD of beauty, beauty services and marketing since 2017 is stepping down from his job alongside stores, operations and food MD Mark Ashman and transformation and people director Sally Hyndman, Retail Week reported.

Cristofoli was promoted to his current role after a major restructure which saw Debenhams reorganise its business around three units: Beauty and Beauty Services, Fashion and Home, and Food and Events.

The current MD of beauty’s departure follows that of Ross Clemmow, former MD of retail, digital, food and events, in November last year.

Cristofoli spent three years at the struggling department store, which is preparing to close around 50 of its 166 stores in the next five years in a bid to turn around its finances.

He has been credited with launching the chain’s new Beauty Hall of the Future concept, designed to house interactive experiences where customers can browse, discover and experiment with new products.
