Decathlon recruits a new communications director from Asics
For several months the sports retail giant has been demonstrating its desire to offer more and more advanced performance products. And is recruiting for its product teams accordingly.

With Barbara Martin Coppola as new general manager since January, Decathlon is preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympic games, of which it is a partner.
It is in this context that the company has just entrusted the marketing and communication direction of the running and trail department to Arnaud Leroux, who was since 2017 marketing director of Asics for the southern European markets. Previously, the executive had worked in the FMCG sector, first at Nesté, then within the Coca-Cola group, for which he had notably operated the marketing actions around the Euro 2016 soccer tournament in France.
The Decathlon group has a turnover of 21 billion euros in 2021, including 4.3 billion in France.
