Denim Première Vision brought together 3,823 trade professionals

The fourth edition of the denim trade show was held on 18th and 19th November in Barcelona. Attendance at the event was level with last year, with 3,823 trade professionals making the journey to the Catalan city.

Some 87 exhibiting companies gathered at the Fiera Montjuic centre. In terms of specialisation, 52% of them were fabric manufacturers, 19% garment manufacturers, launderers and finishers, 22% accessory manufacturers, 3% yarn producers and weavers, and 5% technology researchers and promotion companies. 80% of exhibitors were regulars at the event.
 
72% of them came from outside Spain, with 63 nationalities represented. Besides Spain, attendance was significant from Turkey (13% of the total), Italy (9.5%), the UK (7%) and France (6%), while Germany and the Netherlands ranked 6th and 7th. The organisers also remarked on a strong US presence of 115 trade professionals, which ranked the USA in 8th place among the most represented nations. Asia accounted for 8% of visitors, while South America accounted for 5%.

"All around the aisles, exhibitors weren't hiding their satisfaction for an attendance so well suited to their requirements, both in terms of positioning and markets," the organiser, Première Vision SA, stated. "There were new buyers as well as loyal ones, with whom exhibitors are sure to have established or strengthened strong professional links, within a dynamic, positive business climate."

The next edition of Denim Première Vision will be held in Barcelona on 18th and 19th May 2016, and will focus on the Autumn-Winter 2017/18 collections. Between now and then, Première Vision New York will run from 18th to 19th January, followed by the main event in Paris from 16th to 18th February 2016.
