Luxury e-tailer Mytheresa has linked up with Dolce & Gabbana for an exclusive menswear capsule collection, available globally on the webstore from this month.

Dolce & Gabbana x Mytheresa

The 22-piece collection includes “ready-to-wear and accessories elevations of the house’s iconic releases of the late 90s and early 2000s”. As such, it reflects a popular trend in which collabs and special editions celebrate heritage and popular pieces that sum up specific brands, and also references two of the most influential decades for current fashion.

The e-tailer said “the exclusive capsule creates a new interpretation and vision of the past and blurs the lines between archive and modern fashion”.

The two companies have “reissued key seductive and rebellious masculine silhouettes referencing the brand’s archives”.

The focus is on “a special chromatic combination of blacks, blues, forest greens and stone grey” with baggy trousers and jackets featuring multi-storage pockets, distressed denim and embroidered logo on back pockets, as well as a “flowy pyjama set, tailored pants and slim-fit polo shirts”.

Accessories include loafers, Portofino and Daymaster sneakers and chunky jewellery characterised by chains mixed with basalt grey pearls.

It all comes with a campaign shot by photographer Kris Tofjan and art directed by Mytheresa Chief Creative Officer Julian Paul. Model Bah Aziz has been shot in Palermo, capital of Dolce & Gabbana’s native Sicily. We’re told the images “evoke Dolce & Gabbana’s roots and convey the versatility of the capsule collection in a colourful way”.
