Dune London is expanding its footprint in Scotland with an opening at Caledonia Park, the property run by Railpen that was formerly called Gretna Outlet Village.

The signing coincides with Caledonia Park’s "strong recovery from the successive lockdowns, with sales up 8% between April and September this year compared to the same period in 2019”.

That makes it one of a number of shopping locations that have said they've bounced back to be stronger than the pre-pandemic period, further highlighting how in the changed post-pandemic world, the strongest are thriving while many weaker locations still struggle.

Railpen is the investment manager for the £35bn Railways Pension Scheme and its Caledonia Park property is claimed to be “Scotland’s premier designer village”.

Spanning 1,025 sq ft, the new Dune store carries women’s and men’s footwear and its range of bags and accessories.

Dune CEO and founder Daniel Rubin said the opening “marks a new chapter in our ongoing expansion. It is a high-quality destination with significant regional appeal that is benefiting from the investment being made to enhance the experience for visitors. We are already welcoming new customers from north and south of the border.”

Railpen has undertaken a comprehensive refurbishment programme at Caledonia Park, including revitalisation of public realm, enhancement of the units, and improved landscaping.
