El Corte Inglés is reportedly analysing a co-CEO arrangement that would put Víctor del Pozo and Jesús Nuño de la Rosa at the helm of the Spanish retailer. The board of directors will meet next Wednesday to discuss the future of the company.

Sources close to the matter said that, if made effective, the appointments would go in line with El Corte Inglés’ restructuring efforts as it aims to improve its corporate governance and strengthen its decision-making process.

Del Pozo and Nuño de la Rosa would be the company’s first CEOs. They currently serve as retail director and head of the travel division, respectively.

El Corte Ingles is yet to confirm their appointment, but it is believed they would share the responsibilities.

Víctor del Pozo has spent more than 25 years at the Spanish retailer, and has been head of retail since February. Jesús Nuño de la Rosa was appointed as head of Travel in March and has spent most of his career at El Corte Inglés.
