Emilio Pucci has reiterated that there is currently no basis for going back on its decision to relocate the business from Florence to Milan. The message was conveyed by a spokesperson for the Italian fashion label to the employment adviser to the President of the Tuscany region, Gianfranco Simoncini, in the course of a meeting attended also by the city of Florence's employment councillor, Federico Gianassi.

The fashion label has emphasised that it is considering the transformation of its Palazzo Pucci headquarters in Florence into a premium venue for high-level educational and cultural initiatives.

Simoncini has expressed interest in this option, and is calling for an in-depth assessment of the fashion label's proposal. He also indicated that Emilio Pucci is willing to verify with the CEO of the LVMH group [owner of the brand] if it is possible to allow employees more time to decide on their move.

The Italian fashion label currently runs its business out of three cities. Florence is home to the management team and the merchandising and creative departments, with 46 employees; Milan hosts the label's showroom and sales department, with 20 employees; and Bologna is the manufacturing hub, with about 100 employees.
