Feelunique has officially inaugurated its Parisian flagship, a 100 m2 store located at 35 avenue Marceau, in the XVIth arrondissement. In this brick-and-mortar venue, the British beauty website will combine traditional selective cosmetics labels with a series of niche brands.

To underscore the label’s ties to the web, Feelunique's sales consultants are equipped with tablets, through which they can order products chosen among the 20,000 items and 450 brands available on the website (perfumery, parapharmaceuticals, professional haircare, beauty institute brands, blogger collaborations etc.).

Once ordered, the products can be delivered at home or in-store. The shop also features three beauty institute suites and a Hair Spa directed by Jean-Noël Lemond, Feelunique's Creative Director for hair.

The Feelunique store in avenue Marceau, Paris - Feelunique

A year ago, Feelunique bought French perfumery chain Rive Droite and its four stores: the newly inaugurated one in avenue Marceau, and those on the outskirts of Paris, in Boulogne-Billancourt and Neuilly-sur-Seine - already under the Feelunique banner - while the opening of the Levallois-Perret store will take place by the end of the year.

For the 2015 Christmas festivities, Feelunique had already trialled a brick-and-mortar solution by opening a temporary store in Paris' Marais district. France is indeed Feelunique's second-largest market after the UK. The brand's French subsidiary is managed by Claire Blandin, formerly with Beautéprivée.fr.

Last April, Feelunique.com carried out a second financing round, worth €25 million. The funding came from the brand's majority shareholder, Palamon Capital Partners, as well as from two new investors: a Dutch pension fund and a Middle-Eastern investment fund. The operation will allow the British website to expand on its main markets: the UK, France and also China, where the site was launched recently.
