Fendi puts Alessandra Basso in charge of France
Fendi is reorganizing in Europe with the arrival of a new manager for France. The Roman luxury house owned by the LVMH group has found a new general manager for its French subsidiary, appointing Alessandra Basso, who previously oversaw Italy and Spain, to this position, the label said.
She succeeds Leslie Serrero, who is leaving the luxury group after ten years, where she also worked for Dior, to join the spirits firm CKBG (Casa Komos Brands Group) as international managing director.
Basso, who joined Fendi eight years ago, will continue to manage Spain, while Italy will be headed for the time being by the Europe president, Andrea Rigogliosi, who joined Fendi last year after eight years at Christian Dior. The Italian label, with the wind in its sails, is in the process of strengthening its teams, particularly in Europe.
Basso has a degree in economics and a Masters from London Business School. She began her career at Deloitte, then moved on to the industrial sector as a marketing and communications manager, before switching to the luxury sector and joining Fendi in 2014.
