Christmas is over and attention is turning to the next big shopping moments with Valentine’s on the horizon, the ski season in full swing (despite snow issues in some locations) and Easter not that far away.

With that in mind, skiwear brand Fusalp has opened a pop-up at luxury off-price shopping destination Bicester Village

The upscale French brand is taking advantage of the return of local shoppers to physical retail attractions, as well as the loosening of Chinese travel rules and the strong US dollar that means Bicester should see a steady stream of high-spending fashion shopping tourists from these two key countries.

The pop-up features the label’s performance-driven salopettes, jackets, après-wear and more. The brand has been riding the wave of interest in ‘authentic’ skiwear labels and its heritage of dressing ski champions since 1952, should hold it in good stead here.

It’s also got a UK link as an official sponsor of this year’s winter Olympics, and the brand will be outfitting the GB ski team.

Meanwhile, Axel Arigato has also opened at Bicester, offering footwear, clothing, and accessories for both men and women, with weekly drops that operate outside of the regular seasonal calendar.

The brand has also launched a virtual shopping experience of the collections available in the village. Customers can browse and purchase products from their own homes and have them delivered directly to their door.

And Bicester Village as a whole is running a Valentine’s Day discount programme from now until 14 February with up to a further 20% off select lines in participating boutiques throughout the location.

Those taking part include Manolo Blahnik, Barbour, Belstaff, Karl Lagerfeld, Michael Kors, Paul Smith, Timberland, Vivienne Westwood, Zadig & Voltaire, Wolford, Hunter and more.
