Geox: Gregorio Borgo appointed General Manager
There is a surprise change at the top for Geox. The Italian footwear manufacturer has announced the departure of CEO Giorgio Presca, whose contract was terminated by mutual consent, with a severance clause worth €4.35 million. Gregorio Borgo will be taking his place.

The Turin-born manager, 53, had already been approached some months ago by the founder and President of the 'breathable shoes' brand, Mario Moretti Polegato.
Last December, Borgo stepped down from his post as COO for tyre group Pirelli, which he joined in 1992 and where he spent his entire career, and will start immediately in his new position.
Giorgio Presca joined Geox in 2012 as Chief Executive of Marketing & Product, and in a few months he was promoted to the post of CEO. Over the course of five years, he led the Italian manufacturer back on the growth path, after a period of declining sales. Giorgio Presca formerly worked at, among others, Diesel, Levi Strauss, Benetton and VF Corporation.
