For Messe München, Ispo's Restart edition that took place from November 28 to 30 was a success. Under the motto "New Perspectives on Sports," the program included not only new products presented by the 1,700 exhibitors but also conferences and other public events. On the first day of the trade show, Olympic tennis champion Alexander Zverev and his brother Mischa used virtual reality to present current training technologies used in professional sports. Also at the event were surfing champion Björn Dunkerbeck, multiple kickboxing world champion Dardan Morina, Japanese alpinist Kazuya Hiraide, mountain athletes Kristin Harila and Vibeke Sefland, Portuguese ultrarunner João Andrade, and professional cyclist and ski mountaineer Anton Palzer.

According to Messe München, a total of 40,000 trade visitors came from 117 countries, 90% of them from abroad. In total, more than 50 countries were represented. Germany, Italy, France, China and Taiwan provided the countries with the most exhibitors. Around 20% of them were present at Ispo Munich for the first time.

The approximately 40,000 trade visitors came from a total of 117 countries, of which 73% were international guests. The top 5 participating countries were Germany, Italy, France, Great Britain and Austria. Ispo Munich's new concept with the Future Lab as its main event did particularly well among the international sports community, sums up Stefan Rummel, CEO of Messe München.

"This year's Ispo Munich was not only a reunion of the industry in a great atmosphere, but also clearly showed that the market is changing. We will take this into account as we continue to develop the show. The sporting goods market will continue to be very relevant, but alongside it, topics such as sports fashion, tourism, digitalization, health and fitness, nutrition or eSports are increasingly coming to the fore. That's why we will push innovative formats that also open up new target groups and segments for us," says Tobias Gröber, head of Ispo Group, who, on the first day of the trade show, also announced a collaboration between the sports trade show with the streetwear and fashion blog Highsnobiety, under the brand name "520M".

"The new Ispo Munich has celebrated a sporty comeback after more than two and a half years of absence. It will be held again next year Tuesday to Thursday from November 28 to 30, 2023, at Messe München. This will also give U.S. companies the chance to arrive relaxed after Thanksgiving," sums up Lena Haushofer, exhibition director of Ispo Munich.
