H&M launches on SSG.com, Shinsegae's e-tail platform in South Korea

H&M Group is continuing to expand post-lockdown but it’s not only doing so by opening its own stores and own webstores. In South Korea, it has debuted its signature brand on Shinsegae Group’s SSG.com.

H&M

The debut of its women’s, men’s, teens’, children’s and H&M Home collections comes with a variety of opening offers as it works to make the maximum impact.

H&M first entered the country with a physical store in 2010 and launched its own webstore there in 2016, which might make it seem that the new addition wouldn’t be needed.

But Niklas Nummela, H&M’s South Korea Country Manager, said the debut extends the Swedish fashion retail giant’s existing collaboration with Shinsegae and works with its existing physical stores and digital store to boost its business in the country.

Nummela said that “with SSG.com’s unique and strong position in South Korea, the H&M shop on the platform is an important complement to the 34 physical stores and hm.com shop online, creating a seamless omnichannel experience for our customers in South Korea”.
