H&M and celebrities unite against AIDS

May 18, 2009

In the framework of the “Fashion Against AIDS” project, celebritites from the world of fashion and music have teamed up with H&M and the association of Designers Against AIDS. The objective: to fight against HIV and to educate young people.

Young German group Tokyo Hotel

Tokyo Hotel, Katy Perry, Dita von Teese and N.E.R.D are just some of the artists who have created designs to adorn t-shirts, dresses and jackets by H&M. For these clothes, 25% of the sale price will be donated to educational projects about AIDS. They will be available in the Divided range of the Swedish brand from the 28th of May.

“The fight against AIDS is topical now more than ever, H&M is supported by the involvement of each of the celebrities seen in this collection”, said Ann-Sofie Johansson, artistic director of H&M.

The artists have written strong messages on the clothes, such as “Use your brain” for N.E.R.D, or “Girls just wanna have safe sex” by Cyndi Lauper.
