Hawkers launches eyewear collection with Diamond Supply
Spanish sunglasses brand Hawkers has teamed up with American streetwear and skateboarding label Diamond Supply on a limited edition eyewear collection.
The capsule collection includes two styles, Diamond One and Diamond Classic, with frames manufactured in cellulose acetate and featuring flex technology.
This is not the first time Hawkers joins hands with a fashion brand to launch a capsule collection. In the past, the label collaborated with Pull&Bear and El Ganso, however Diamond Supply is the first non-Spanish collaborator. Hawkers has also teamed up with Italian brand Lotto.
The partnership with Pull&Bear saw the bricks-and-mortar debut of e-tailer Hawkers with the collection launching in 32 Inditex stores worldwide.
The brand, run by Venezuelan businessman Alejandro Betancourt, is now considering the opening of its first physical store however it has declined to provide further details.
In addition to other retail brands, Hawkers has collaborated with several artists and celebrities including Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer Alex Rins, Spanish actress Paula Echeverria and Spanish professional basketball player Rudy Fernandez.
Hawkers ended 2016 with revenue of 7.1 million euros, a 60% increase on the previous year.
