High-end children’s retailer Giggle will close the remainder of its stores this year. Last week the brand closed its outposts in Manhattan’s Soho and Upper East Side neighborhoods, consolidating its remaining merchandise at its Upper West Side location.

Along with the Upper West Side Store, Giggles’ Denver, San Francisco and Santa Monica locations will also hold liquidation sales. Giggles has also shut its online store, and according to the brand’s website all sales are final.

Giggles ended 2016 with six stores across the country and $32.1 million in sales. According to the brand’s lawyer, the brick-and-mortar retailer struggled to remain afloat when faced with online competitors.

The unexpected closure has led to many complaints from customers who have Giggle gift cards with outstanding balances, and from those who have struggled to obtain information from the retailer about the status of their orders.

Many retail chains have faced mass or unexpected closures in recent months. A similar panic took place when bridal retailer Alfred Angelo unexpectedly closed its stores in July.
