Fashion and lifestyle brand Hush is celebrating young talent by debuting the first-ever collection created by its five in-house interns.

Hush's five interns create their own capsule collection

Launching on 13 May exclusively at its UK webstore, the capsule collection of “bold prints and laidback staples” has been created by its “team of next-generation talent”, as part of Hush’s paid internship programme.

Called the Intern Collection, it brings together the work of its design, garment tech, buying, merchandising and sustainability teams. “Every piece is sustainably sourced and perfectly encapsulates hush’s signature laid back style”, the company noted.

As a further step to celebrate homegrown talent, Hush will also be launching a partnership with the charity Hackney Empire, linked to its Creative Futures Programme. The programme is about giving opportunities to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds “to use arts and creativity to learn a new talent or just giving them a safe place to be”.

Mandy Watkins, founder of Hush, said: “Everyone here is so excited to see what our interns have achieved and we can’t wait to share the results of their talents and hard work with the launch of our first-ever intern collection. I feel very fortunate to work in a place where every day I’m surrounded by so many bright, enthusiastic young people — and I love that we can give them the opportunity to explore their creativity either via our own intern programme or via our partnership with Hackney Empire’s Creative Futures programme.”
