The formerly-named 'Dinard Festival' is arriving in Dinan for the second time for its 2017 edition, taking place from 7-9 April.

The International Young Designers' Festival (Le Festival International des Jeunes Créateurs), created by Dominique Damien Réhel in 1993, has selected 10 participants who will present seven collections on the theme 'Save the Planet.'

Alexis Jodas, Fiona Fondadouze, and Mathilde Esnault, of French nationality, as well as Laurence Lallot (Belgium) and Scott Tian (Malaysia) are all setting their sights on the womenswear Grand Prix. In the menswear category, designers Maxime Arthur (Switzerland), Damien Lebrun (France), Jeanne Touzet (France) and Mizukami Seijiro (Japan) and Zhikai Yang (China) will compete for the prize.

This year, François Girbaud will preside over the jury. The denim titan and founder of the label Marithé et François Girbaud, will succeed Barbara Bui, who awarded prizes to Mexican designer José Luis Gutierrez for his ultra-feminine collection and Frenchman Clément Dollet for his menswear collection in 2016.
