Irish retail sales fall 0.9 pct in year to October

DUBLIN, Ireland - Irish retail sales fell by 0.9 percent in October from a year earlier, provisional figures from the Central Statistics Office showed on Thursday.

Sales volumes slipped 0.2 percent from a month earlier, dragged down by poor sales of cars, clothing and hardware.
