Clemenza is the former general manager of Krizia and is tasked with “stepping up the pace of the structuring and commercial development of Aspesi on a global scale,” said the label in a press release. She is a strategic pick, highly coveted by private equity firm Armònia SGR, which has been in control of the brand founded by Alberto Aspesi since 2017.

Clemenza has contributed to the growth of several fashion labels, among them Gianfranco Ferré, Kenzo and Karl Lagerfeld, where she was vice-president international sales and licenses from 2012 to 2017, when she was appointed general manager of Krizia.

In 2018, Clemenza was ranked by Forbes among the 100 most distinguished Italian women in their respective fields for their engagement and the results obtained. Since 2014, she has also been working as a strategic consultant to the UN, promoting the expansion of companies that operate in the culture and creativity sectors.

“After a lengthy recruitment process, we are delighted to have a professional of Simona’s calibre on board with us. We are sure she will be able to generate the results and visibility worthy of a long-established brand like Aspesi,” said Francesco Chiappetta, chairman of Aspesi’s board of directors and a representative of Armònia SGR.

Aspesi was founded in 1969 as a shirt label, and currently distributes its women's and men’s ready-to-wear collections via 10 monobrand stores and over 600 multibrand retailers worldwide.
