Freddy is the official clothing supplier for one of the world’s most important sporting events, the Winter Olympics. The Italian team’s uniforms have been designed by Freddy: each athlete’s wardrobe will include outfits for both official occasions, such as the opening parade – coat, cashmere turtle-neck sweater and pants – and outfits with a more sporty design for the most exciting moment of all, the podium: jacket, ski salopettes and padded gilet.

Freddy have decided to keep with the Italian team’s classic white and blue, proposed here in an unusual shades of navy blue, for a line of professional garments with up to the minute appeal that develop the concept already advanced by Freddy for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

The garments are ergonomic, with warm padding and carefully finished details such as pockets and zips. Fabrics used are latest generation hi-tech – such as reinforced nylon with a 4% metal component for the jacket – thermal and waterproof and all seams are bound

Four Italian athletes made it to the podium wearing Freddy’s designs: Alessandro Pittin, Ariann Fontana and Armin Zoeggler who each won bronze medals, as well as Pietro Piller who won silver.
