J Crew getting ready to open stores in France

J Crew will arrive in France in spring 2015. In an interview in Bloomberg, Millard Drexler, CEO of the American retailer group, has announced the opening of its first two stores in Paris.

After its arrival on Regent Street in London last year, the brand now has four stores in the UK. The American press has confirmed that the brand will be opening its first France stores in the Marais district with a 4,300 square foot women's store in Rue Mahler as of March followed by a men's store in September.

According to the group, France is among the top 10 markets on its online store.

J.Crew will also be opening a fifth store in central London, on Marylebone High Street.

J.Crew was created in 1983 starting from catalogue sales and opened its first store in New York in 1989. As of September 4, the group had 271 J.Crew stores in the world and 131 factory stores. For its first semester, ended at this time, J.Crew recorded a 9% increase in its revenue and a comparable 1% at $1.2 billion.
