Sometimes, nothing can beat a wardrobe classic like a crisp white-and-blue striped shirt. But what if you want an updated take on it? Northern Irish designer J.W. Anderson is your man: his exclusive new six-piece capsule collection for Net-a-Porter, which launched March 9, is just the thing.

The collection reinvents the classic wardrobe staple in new contemporary formations and features tops in bodice, corset and off the shoulder variations, as well as a wrap dress and knot skirt. J.W. Anderson said the collection exemplifies the brand's signature aesthetic - directional, modern and functional.

"The shirt is a fundamental backbone of most woman’s wardrobe and something that has always been an important part of J.W. Anderson’s collection for our ©Bloomua / Shutterstock.com customers. We started working with Jonathan on this capsule nearly a year ago before the trend hit the runway. What they have done here is re-worked and re-envisioned these wardrobe classics and made them so highly desirable. They are all special statement pieces that will stand the test of time and remain modern favorites,” said Sarah Rutson, Vice President of Global Buying at Net-a-Porter.

Earlier this year, Anderson opened his own Workshops in Shoreditch, inspired by the Bloomsbury Group's Omega Workshops, to showcase exhibitions and exclusive projects.
