The British sports fashion retail company is about to open its first store in France on the first floor of Evry 2, a major Parisian shopping centre.

Although the store should only be opening in three weeks time, the brand is already working on a French version of its website (www.jdsports.fr), expected to be working shortly. After acquiring French sports footwear retailer Chausport for 8 million euros in 2009, JD Sports penetration in the French market shows the company’s drive to go beyond the United Kingdom and Ireland and expand globally.
JD Sports currently has 350 stores across the UK and its sales reach up to around 906 million euros (2009). According to Sport-guide.com, the British sports retailer already has a second project underway.
