JD.com, China’s largest online retailer, is set to host an invitation-only conference at the Ace Hotel in Shoreditch on Wednesday 22 June.

The event aims to introduce British brands to the online platform and show them how to capitalise on China’s growing ecommerce industry. Guests will learn how to engage Chinese consumers and about JD.com’s commitment to fighting fake goods, among other things.

The initiative will be part of the company’s British Week, which will also see the launch of British Mall. This is a country-specific channel on JD.com’s cross-border platform JD Worldwide, dedicated exclusively to offer authentic British products to consumers in China.

JD.com is a leading online direct sales company reaching shoppers across China through a vast infrastructure network. The retailer operates 7 fulfilment centres, 209 warehouses and almost 6,000 delivery and pickup stations in 2,493 counties and districts across the country.

JD.com recently announced a collaboration with UK football club Liverpool FC to launch an online-shop on JD Worldwide offering  a range of authentic merchandise, including club shirts, men’s and women’s apparel, fashion and sports accessories, and personalised souvenirs.
