1990s cult brand Ellesse is pulling out all the stops to reposition itself, starting with the campaign for its Fall-Winter 2019, entitled "For the Win."

The Italian company called upon six world-famous ambassadors, such as British singer-actor Jacob Anderson, best known for his role in the series "Game of Thrones."

A number of '90s fashion brands have been making efforts to modernize their image and break into a more fashion-forward market. The latest to join the list is Ellesse, which is repositioning its brand to combine sportswear and urban style in an equal-parts technical and casual manner.

To wit, its new Cass Bird-directed campaign featuring no less than six of the international creative class's biggest names.

Jacob Anderson is thus joined by Chinese director and photographer Margaret Zhang, rapper Princess Nokia, Austrian top model Stella Lucia, British model Kit Butler and American rapper Saint Jhn to highlight the brand's Fall-Winter 2019 "Urban Tailored" and "Urban Ski" collections.

Simon Breckon, Ellesse's global brand director, said in a statement: "Collaborating with ... a hand-picked creative team has enabled us to bring to life our founder's vision of tailoring into sport, whilst elevating our style credentials. We have a tremendous heritage story that needs telling in a modern, compelling way."

To which chairman and chief creative officer Trey Laird: "We were really inspired by Ellesse's archives and the rich history of the brand. Their legendary style DNA from the '60s glory days of Italian tennis and ski sport gave us such a clear path to re-envision as a relevant message for a whole new generation."
