Jacquemus takes its first steps into the world of homewear and other home items through a collaboration with Tekla. Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus has teamed up with the Danish home textiles brand to concoct a collection of bedding, towels and homewear, which is sure to appeal to his fans this holiday season. A way to test this new ground before launching, who knows, a real line dedicated to the house.

The much anticipated Jacquemus x Tekla collab, launching for Christmas - Philip Messmann

"This collaboration between our two brands came naturally and spontaneously. I've always dreamed of developing a bedding and homewear line. With Tekla, it was the perfect fit. I'm a big fan of the brand and I feel that we share the same universe and the same inspirations," comments the French designer in a release.

The collection includes bedspreads, towels, bathrobes, pyjamas, and also other pieces, such as tops, shorts, a bra and a bandana. The line is made of Tekla fabrics in percale, poplin and terry cloth with 100% organic cotton and 100% French linen. It comes in stripes and different shades of blue and brown, taking up the classic and minimalist Tekla aesthetic, inspired by its founder and creative director Charlie Hedin, along with the playful touch of Simon Porte Jacquemus.

For example, a ruffled strapless top is inspired by men's boxers, the striped shirt is tied in the back with ribbons like old pillowcases, the bathrobe looks like a shirt-jacket with its large patch pockets on the chest, while the towel is extra large to envelop lovers.

The launch is accompanied by a beautiful campaign shot on the Nonza beach in Corsica by renowned Danish photographer Philip Messmann, a long-time collaborator of Tekla.

Prices range from €45 to €195 for the ready-to-wear, €160 to €270 for the bedding, while the terry cloth pieces start at €125.

The collection is available exclusively on teklafabrics.com and jacquemus.com as well as in the Jacquemus Paris boutique on Avenue Montaigne. The day after the launch of the collaboration on Wednesday, November 30, some pieces such as the short-pyjamas were already sold out.
