In an effort to increase quality and reactivity, premium retailer Jaeger has announced plans to bring manufacturing back to Britain. The British label has said that it plans to manufacture 5-10% of its offering on UK soil as part of a five-year strategy turnaround lead by CEO Colin Henry, who joined the company in July.

As part of the move, Jaeger – which mostly manufactured in Asia over the past 15 years – also aims to increase production in Turkey and Portugal in a bid to reduce lead times on products and increase quality.

Since being taken over by Better Capital in spring 2012, Jaeger has managed to half its losses to £35.5 million despite posting a drop in sales of 17% over the same period.
