French-Indian accessories and home decor brand Jamini is leaving the comfort zone of Paris to try out New York —t least for a bit. The brand founded by Usha Bora has opened a pop up shop at 171, Elizabeth Street in downtown Manhattan, the neighborhood of Nolita to be precise, for a run until May 14.

" New York, because on the one hand, the Americans who have visited our stores in Paris love the brand, and we are beginning to get a lot of mention in the American press,” says Florida Nor in charge of marketing and communication at Jamini. "Our U.S. clientele is expanding enormously, such as through our products being carried by Colllyer's Mansion in Brooklyn ." The brand will be hosting artistic events during the duration of the pop-up.

Jamini has two Parisian locations in the 9th and 10th arrondissements. The brand had raised €250,000 from a private investor in 2015 to finance international development, especially in the United States.
