Karl Lagerfeld presents the fruits of his collaboration with Kaia Gerber

Announced in January, the much-awaited collaboration between Germany's most prestigious designer brand and the top model of the moment has finally taken shape. From August 30 the ready-to-wear pieces and accessories of this exclusive collection will go on sale worldwide, notably from the online retailer www.karl.com.




The Karl Lagerfeld brand has announced on social networks and its website the launch date for a capsule collection created in collaboration with Kaia Gerber. The capsule will be unveiled on August 30, and the launch will be marked by a series of events in various cities, notably Paris and New York, this fall.

Not content to rest on her laurels as one of the world's most sought-after top models since she first took to the catwalk in September 2017, 16-year-old Kaia Gerber has added a further string to her bow with her creative collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld. Gerber has come up with a collection of ready-to-wear and accessories that combine the brand's Parisian chic with a nonchalant Los Angeles look.

The daughter of Cindy Crawford sought inspiration in her own lifestyle, which is laidback and sporty, when creating the high-profile collection. Ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, sunglasses and jewelry are the key elements in this capsule dominated by iconic Karl Lagerfeld black and white, and accented with sequins and colorful touches of red and pink.

An initial visual posted on the brand's Instagram shows Kaia Gerber posing with the great couturier dressed in a masculine-feminine outfit. The top model notably wears a white shirt decorated with the "Karl x Kaia" signature in red and black and an accompanying black tie.

A rising star since her September 2017 debut at New York Fashion Week, Kaia Gerber is already one of the most sought-after models of her generation. Not only has she taken to the runway for the world's most prestigious brands (such as Versace, Max Mara, Fendi, Calvin Klein, Coach), but she has also featured in a large number of campaigns: most notably for Chanel, Versace, Marc Jacobs, Moschino, and Sacai.
