British footwear designer Kat Maconie is opening a pop-up store on London's Carnaby Street this month, running from 10 March-1 July.

Founded in London over a decade ago, Maconie’s brand is described as “a trailblazer of the new generation of footwear designers”.

Her unique designs are built on a kaleidoscope of colourful shoes and sculptural heels “with their eye-catching, unique and mood-boosting collections, which brighten your wardrobe with a touch of unapologetically modern glamour… they’re the go-to brand for women who dress from the feet up”.

Carnaby Street and the surrounding area have become popular destinations for young brands to open pop-ups and the brand discovery element has become a key part of the neighbourhood’s shopping experience.

The pop-up store offer will centre on the designer’s SS23 ‘California Dreamin’ line “transporting you to a tropical paradise where no party is too big and no night is too long”.

The 86-piece collection features “an all-star cast of heels and flats, imagined with a sprinkling of Hollywood magic”.

Maconie said: “It’s such an exciting milestone for myself and the brand to be opening on Carnaby Street. I cannot wait to open our doors to more wonderful customers and to see their real time reactions to our collections. It was my 2023 goal to open a pop-up in central London, specifically Soho, and my team has made it possible to do exactly that.”

Emma Steele, Head of Retail Activations at landlord Shaftesbury, added: “With Kat being an innovator in footwear design, her unique shoes will be a great hit with locals and visitors to the area.”
