Kate Upton stars in campaign for new Canada Goose collab with Polar Bears International

Iconic Toronto-based outerwear brand Canada Goose has teamed up with non-profit Polar Bears International (PBI) to launch a collaborative collection for the spring, with model Kate Upton fronting the campaign.
The collection – the first spring offering to be made by the long-time partners – features six pieces, including lightweight down jackets, windbreakers and waterproofs.
The women’s offering includes the Abbott Hoody, the Freestyle Vest and the Seaboard Jacket, while men can choose between the Freestyle Vest and the Seawolf Jacket. The collection also includes a unisex Photojournalist Jacket.
All pieces are available in PBI blue, the non-profit’s signature color, which is intended to represent the sea ice that polar bears rely on for their survival.
The color appeared in the first collaborative collection from Canada Goose and PBI for Fall/Winter 2008 and has since been registered with the Pantone Color Institute in celebration of their long-standing partnership.
For each PBI jacket that it sells, Canada Goose will make a donation of $50 to the non-profit, which is the only organization dedicated solely to the preservation and protection of polar bears in the wild.
As the face of the collection’s campaign, Upton will be doing double duty as an ambassador for both Canada Goose and PBI. The campaign images show the American model facing a range of extreme weather conditions while wearing different pieces from the new collection.
As a new Canada Goose ambassador, she joins a varied line-up of “Goose People”, including indigenous leader and former NHL player Jordin Tootoo, activist and artist Sarain Fox, Emmy award-winning director Greg Kohs and Olympic soccer player Karina LeBlanc.
The Canada Goose x PBI collection for Spring 2020 is available for purchase now.
