Kathmandu launches in UK, France, Germany
Kathmandu, the top outdoor apparel and equipment brand in Australia and New Zealand, has this week launched into the UK and Europe as part of its ambitious growth plans.
The range is now available online in the UK, France and Germany via the brand’s dedicated country webstores, as well as through select retail partners.
The announcement of its European plan was originally made during Paris Fashion Week when it linked up with retailer Leclaireur to unveil its AW22 collection.
Global Chief Customer Officer Eva Barrett said: “We’re thrilled to announce that Kathmandu is now available in the UK and Europe. We’re Australia and New Zealand’s favourite outdoor brand, and we look forward to seeing local outdoor enthusiasts, discover our innovative and sustainable gear.”
As mentioned, the brand began its publicity blitz for the launch with an appearance during Paris Fashion Week in late September.
This focused on its innovative NXT-Level jacket that had also made a big impact at the Outdoor Retailer and ISPO trade shows this year and underlines the functionality-meets-tech-meets-sustainability approach that the brand will take in targeting European consumers.
The jacket is part of the label’s longstanding commitment to sustainable innovation and manufacturing. Made of made of Nylon 66, it’s the first step in its aim of creating apparel that’s almost completely biodegradable.
