Kendo Brands, the Sephora subsidiary based in San Francisco, which develops make-up and beauty brands, like Formula X and Marc Jacobs Beauty, for the select cosmetics store chain from the LVMH group, is gaining some independence.
The entity created four years ago will thus be able to directly sell the brands it develops and those acquired - such as recently the Canadian brand Bite Beauty, explains Women’s Wear Daily – on the markets where the Sephora chain isn't present, like in the UK and Austria.
David Suliteanu, who was the CEO of Sephora Americas for 13 years, has been at the head of Kendo Brands for a year.
