KFC is latest big name to link food with fashion

As fashion and fast-food continue their unlikely alliances, this one should take some beating. It’s a “highly exclusive” ‘it-bag’ launched by KFC to celebrate the introduction of its new £1.98 Twister Wrap deal.

KFC

Vegetarians/vegans look away now: it comes under the ‘fash-hen’ category “on the intersection of chic and chicken” with a Y2K Baguette-inspired bag called ‘The Wrapuette’.

And with it, KFC joins the likes of Greggs, Aldi and Lidl by offering customers the chance to wear their popular meals and snacks.

The bag, made from Italian leather and “handcrafted by Savile Row artisans” comes “purposefully crafted with an insulated layer to hold a delicious Twister Wrap… dedicated to its seamless transportation”.

With its classic regal red finish, “this bag oozes style and sophistication, far beyond the reaches of any designer”, we’re told.

Of course as it’s an it-bag, it will only be available in limited numbers and customers will have to join a ‘Wrapuette Waitlist’ to buy the £198 bag. Yes, £198.

However, it’s all for a good cause with all proceeds going towards the KFC Foundation charity, which supports grassroots organisations and empowers young people across the UK.
