Kidiliz is pushing forward with its expansion in the Americas and has appointed a new managing director for its North American subsidiary. Based in New York, Antoine Elie has been overseeing the French children's fashion group's expansion in the region since last September.

The group formerly known as Zannier distributes a total of eight brands in the North American market, including Kenzo Kids, Jean Bourget, Lili Gaufrette, Paul Smith Junior, 3 Pommes and Catimini. The last of these labels launched its US e-commerce platform a year ago, which, according to the group, has been "performing well" since then.

As well as reinforcing Kidiliz's presence in the US, Elie will also be tasked with leading the group's expansion into the neighbouring markets of Mexico and Canada. It's a mission that he should be well equipped to tackle, thanks to his prior experience serving as international sales manager at Naf Naf and Suncoo.

In October 2018, Kidiliz was acquired by Chinese conglomerate Semir, a giant in the apparel industry which has been listed on the Shenzhen stock exchange since 2011. In 2017, the French group's revenue totalled 430 million euros, 50% of which came from international sales.
