Sometimes beer and cosmetics are only one step removed. From April, Blanca Juti will leave Heineken, where she has been chief corporate affairs officer since 2016, and step into her new role as chief communications and public affairs officer at L'Oréal. The Mexican-Finnish executive will take over from Lucia Dumas, who is leaving the business after three years there. Juti will join L’Oréal’s executive committee and its community of around 88,000 employees.

Blanca Juti - L'Oréal

Before joining the Heineken headquarters in the Netherlands, Juti worked in America and Europe. From 1998 to 2002, Juti made a career at Finnish mobile telephone specialist Nokia. She entered the business as head of corporate communications for Latin America and rose through the ranks to become vice president of marketing. Juti then joined video game company Rovio, which is behind the game Angry Birds, and worked as the business’ chief brand officer from 2013 to 2015.

At global business Heineken, Juti worked with a team of 64 different nationalities and refined her ability to deal with a range if international situations. This experience will be well needed given that L'Oréal recently decided to review the structuring of its regions of activity.
