As part of the deal, Laura Chaplin will create a fashion collection using materials that comply with CmiA standards, set to be unveiled during Berlin Fashion Week at the Ethical Fashion Show.

Cotton made in Africa and Laura Chaplin share a common vision of creating a stable future for people all over the world. "Working with Cotton made in Africa is a labor of love for me and I am looking forward to getting started on the collection," said Laura Chaplin.

The first collection, entitled Smile, will be centred on the smallholder cotton farmers behind the initiative and their families, she said. The range will be produced by ethical company Fashion For Teams, which has been a partner of Cotton made in Africa for over 10 years.

All proceeds will go to the Cotton made in Africa initiative for the benefit of CmiA affiliated smallholders, their families and the conservation of nature.
