French jeweller Les Néréides Paris, known for its fine handmade jewellery, has opened its first store in Melbourne.

Located in Melbourne's new designer shopping precinct, St. Collins Lane, the boutique stocks the 35-year-old Parisian's latest autumn/winter 2017 collections.

This latest Melbourne addition takes the French jeweller's Australian store count to four, with three locations in Sydney already.

The brands' sister label, N2 is also opening in Melbourne, with collections from its own autumn/winter collections. These will include pieces from French artist Nicolas Buffe, known for their Japanese folklore accents.

All pieces are designed in France and then made, painted and assembled by hand. The creators, husband and wife Enzo and Pascale Amaddeo, are inspired by the treasures and symbols discovered during travels.

The first Les Néréides Paris boutique opened in Nice, France, in 1980. Since then, the company has expanded with stores across the globe with boutiques in Europe and Asia. It recently opened its first Middle East boutique in Dubai, located at the new City Walk Boulevard 2.
