Lidl expands sportswear offering with new running range
Mar 16, 2017
Lidl continues its expansion into the sportswear market with the launch of a new line of affordable running gear ahead of the London Marathon.
The budget supermarket chain launched its own sports brand Crivit Pro in last year in a bid to cash in on the booming health and fitness market.
The new nine-piece collection includes full outfits for men and women, including trainers, long-sleeve tops, vests and leggings, with prices ranging from £2.79 for ladies’ socks to £14.99 for running shoes.
The pieces are made using Topcool performance fibres, which help deliver optimal moisture control and maximise breathability, said the retailer.
Lidl’s Crivit running shoes feature a strobe style, which allows for extra flexibility, and EVA insoles for support and control. Handy features run throughout the collection, such as a key pocket in the trouser waistband, to offer practicality.
The running range will be available in UK stores from 9 March.
