Dutch lingerie brand Sapph has opened a pop-up store in Utrecht (Steenweg 9), as reported by Dutch newspaper Het Algemeen Dagblad.

The brand, which was previously only available through wholesale and via the shop-in-shop formula, decided to open its first own (pop-up) store after department store V&D went bankrupt in December 2015. Sapph had 60 shop-in-shops situated at the former department store.

By opening the pop-up store, the brand aims to sell the remaining stock that was intended for the shop-in-shop stores at the bankrupt department store. As of now, the pop-up store will be located in Utrecht until the summer, but this might be extended until the end of the year.

Sapph is known for offering affordable lingerie and swimwear collections for women. Prices range between €6,95, - for briefs and €79,99,- for a kimono. The brand also has a small underwear and swimwear collection for men.

Sapph was founded in 2005 by Cool Investments and, in addition to its first pop-up store, currently has 400 points of sale in the Benelux, 150 points of sale in Germany and 100 points of sale internationally.

Besides Sapph, Cool Investments is also the owner of Dutch retailers America Today, Coolcat and M&S Mode. Next to its retail initiatives the company also operates in real estate projects.
