The Grosvenor-owned Liverpool One mall has added two independent menswear and accessory brands to its roster of retailers. Local brands Vincentius and Tribus have opened flagships stores at the city destination at a welcome time when businesses face a challenging time on the retail front.

Vincentius

Independent retailer Vincentius has unveiled its new 1,200 sq ft flagship boutique on Manesty’s Lane offering the brand’s full range of locally-designed menswear, including footwear and childrenswear.

To tie the business to the community, the store’s interior also features artwork from local graffiti artists.

Rob Hardwick, co-founder of Vincentius Bespoke, said: “After trading for some time in the city and establishing our clientele, relocating the Vincentius flagship to Liverpool One is an exciting milestone which will strengthen and elevate our business.

“Vincentius will complement Liverpool One’s great balance of independent brands and larger retailers”.

Meanwhile, Swiss-made watch brand Tribus is opening its first ever store, with a 100 sq ft retail space on at Liverpool One's Wall Street.

Local connections are also strong with the brand being the Official Global Wristwatch and Timing Partner for Liverpool FC. The launch is timed to coincide with the brand’s release of a special ‘Champions’ model designed to celebrate the football club’s first league title in 30 years.

Alison Clegg, director of Asset Management for Grosvenor Europe, commented: “Securing two retail signings of such a high calibre is a fantastic way for Liverpool One to see out the year, and puts us in very good stead as we approach 2021.

"We’re pleased to welcome these two innovative luxury brands to our retail mix, while fostering the strong local affiliations of both. Vincentius and Tribus will strengthen the premium experience at Liverpool One, while adding to the breadth of retail offer for men at the destination.”

Grosvenor also said these new store openings follow a series of “significant leasing announcements” including British luxury jeweller David M Robison, committing to a five-year lease renewal of its boutique on Liverpool One’s South John Street. Other new retail openings at the destination include toy store Hamleys and a new retail concept for Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand Kenji.
