Louis Vuitton to open dedicated men’s store in Beverly Hills

After several months of work, a new Louis Vuitton boutique will be inaugurated on July 14 at 420 North Rodeo Drive. An important date for France, the National Day of the French republic and which commemorates the Storming of the Bastille, July 14, 1789.

A well-known address for Beverly Hills customers, since it was here that The House of Bijan resided for years. Known to be the most expensive boutique in the world, Bijan and its director Nicolas Bijan found a new address in 2018 at 443 North Rodeo Drive, almost directly opposite, leaving the LVMH group to organize its new developments.

Fully renovated, the dedicated men’s store in Beverly Hills is the eighth freestanding men’s store in the country, and the first in California. “The architecture and design pays homage to the maison’s history of craftsmanship and innovation while highlighting the beauty of the California landscape and casual style synonymous with the city,” according to a press release.

Centrally positioned on Rodeo Drive, the store’s exterior features oversized windows and textured paneling that recalls Louis Vuitton’s trademark Epi leather. Once inside, guests will discover the striking entryway featuring a 17-foot ceiling, bathed in abundant natural light. A vibrant, three-dimensional acrylic painting on stainless steel and mirrors by Portuguese artist Marisa Ferreira will enliven the space, inspired by the immersive geometric qualities of a kaleidoscope.

A grand curved staircase with distinctive blue leather handrails will connect the ground floor and mezzanine levels, flanked by a 'Giant Man' sculpture from Virgil Abloh’s oeuvre, in a handstand position. Upstairs, the VIP rooms will feature specially commissioned murals by German artist Alex Proba, with a playfully abstracted design using mid-century motifs and a desert-inspired palette.

The Beverly Hills men’s store will open with an ample selection from the Fall/Winter 2022 collection designed by Louis Vuitton’s late men’s artistic director Virgil Abloh. Created through the lens of Virgil Abloh’s central 'Boyhood Ideology' – seeing the world with the eyes of a child – the collection transmutes the dress codes popularly tied to societal archetypes and patchworks them in new ways.

Accessories will also find a good representation with the Tambour watch which celebrates its 20th anniversary. Classic Objets Nomades pieces will also be available, as well as seasonal interpretations of the Courrier Lozine, Cotteville and Coffret trunks, such as the 'NBA' set, the 'Wavy' set and 'Climbing' set.

Customization will also be offered through an on-site hot-stamping service. A full fragrance counter offering custom engraving on the maison’s inspired colognes by Louis Vuitton’s master perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud will complete the compelling display.
