The Nike Air Force 1 and Louis Vuitton exhibition will showcase 47 pairs of sneakers designed by Virgil Abloh from May 20 to 31, 2022 at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in New York.

The ephemeral event will feature a series of art installations placed throughout the city. This immersive experience is part of a dreamlike universe imagined by Abloh himself before he passed away on November 28, 2021. The 47 iterations of the iconic sneaker will be on display in the physical space as well as in the virtual world.

As part of Louis Vuitton Men's Spring/Summer 2022 collection, the Air Force 1 will be available in nine color ways. The shoes will be available for pre-order and exclusive to members of the Louis Vuitton community in June 2022. Prices will range from 2,000 to 2,500 euros.

The exclusive collection consists of the classic white Air Force 1 design embossed with the French label’s monogram logo, as well as a black suede version and two-toned green, red and blue pairs.

A gold pair paying tribute to the late designer’s first fashion show for Louis Vuitton also comprises the collection alongside a limited Damier print edition adorned with a graffiti motif created by artist Ghusto Leon.

Abloh constantly urged his audience to imagine a world beyond the limits set by humankind. He used fashion as a vehicle for social change, such as successfully erasing the boundaries between streetwear and haute couture.

Visitors of the exhibition will be able to walk through a giant version of the fashion house’s logo covered in mirrors. As they walk through the exhibition, the public will find themselves surrounded by 3D-printed statues amidst a cloud printed space.

Since the collaboration began, Louis Vuitton announced a series of events such as the auction of 200 pairs of sneakers in February 2022 to benefit The Virgil Abloh Post-Modern Scholarship Fund.
