One of the main objectives of Lush's retail expansion in France is to open stores with a sales area of at least 100 m2, compared to the current average of 55 m2. As part of its drive for larger shops, on 25th October the British cosmetics retailer will open an 86 m2 store inside the newly enlarged Carré Sénart shopping mall in Lieusaint, France, Lush's 44th store on French soil.

The store features a revised interiors concept, segmenting the Lush range by product category: skincare, haircare, body care, bath and shower products, mouthwash tabs and toothpaste, make-up and fragrances.

"This store is an opportunity for heightening the customers' experience, by immersing them gradually in the brand's unique world, with washbasins to try our products and consultation areas, especially for our signature range, the fresh face masks, which are displayed on crushed ice and must be kept refrigerated. The new store also features a very appealing glass and metal shop front," said Mathieu Raguet, in charge of European store openings for Lush. In early 2018, Lush will also renovate and enlarge its Paris Saint-Lazare store, and open one in the new Prado shopping mall in Marseilles, broadening its presence in the country, which it first entered in 2005.

Lush operates 930 stores in 49 countries. Its products are made using 100% fresh vegetal ingredients such as bio fruit, flowers and essential oils, and its global revenue is GBP 940 million (€1.05 billion).
